Deslys Day-Jolly - Company Director

I have been working in the care industry for over 30 years, starting as a community home carer, back in 1978. I spent the following 14 years working for Kent County Council, Social Services Dept, in various management positions in residential homes for elderly people, finishing as the Manager of a Linked Service Centre. I then spent 12 years as co owner of a successful care agency. After the division of this agency I started my own business Town and Country Homecare Limited. The company has grown considerably since its inception, which is all the more pleasing as it is now my family and I that run it.

Qualifications: BTEC Continuing Education Certificate in Management Studies.

Natalie Day - Business Manager

Natalie is my daughter in law and has been working for me since 1999. She has experience in providing hands-on care; has worked as a care co-ordinator and then moved into management covering personnel issues, invoicing, payroll and all other aspects associated with running a care agency. Natalie lives locally and has two children.

Qualifications: Natalie has completed her NVQ level 3 in Business & Administration and has now started the NVQ4 course in the same field.

Claire Day - Business Manager

Qualifications: Registered Nurse (Child) Dip HE, BSc (Honours) Child Health, BSc (Honours) Public Health, RHV - Registered Health Visitor, ENB Teaching & Assessing and Registered Nurse Prescriber

Guy Day - Company Secretary

Guy is my son and is married to Claire. He retired from the City in 2003. He joined the company from the outset and runs accounts and marketing for the business. His aim is to expand our Private Care Service.
Guy also owns in partnership, Jackie's News, a newspaper delivery business based in Tenterden, the coffee kiosk at Headcorn Train Station and our sister company Town & Country Homecare Mobility.

Debbie Piesse - Care co-ordinator

Debbie has been with me for 14 years, starting out as a carer and   progressing into the office as a care co-ordinator. She lives with her family which includes her two grown up children. She has gained experience in interviewing prospective new care workers and chairing the monthly Patch Meetings. Debbie points out that her surname is pronounced "peace". 

Michelle Barnes - Care co-ordinator

Michelle has been working in the care industry for the past 22 years. Having started with the company as a carer, her enthusiasm and abilities led to a part time position as a Care co-ordinator before taking a full time position in 2007. Her role includes chairing monthly Patch Meetings. She lives locally with her husband and 3 children.

Qualifications: NVQ level 2 & 3 in Care and has started her NVQ level 4

Sandra Gower - Care co-ordinator

Sandra has 27 years experience in the care industry, previously managing a reputable nursing home, but joined us in 2008 and has settled very well into the our team. Her role includes chairing monthly Patch Meetings. She is married with 3 children & lives locally.

Qualifications: Registered General Nurse, Diploma of Higher Education, NVQ4, RMA ENB 931 . 941, D31 / 32 Assessor & NVQ level 3 in Business & Administration.

Sally Heath - Care co-ordinator

Sally has 23 years experience in the care industry, having worked in a nursing home for 15 years and then with us as a carer for the last 8 years, during which time she has trained for and become our (in house) Manual Handling Trainer. She has now joined the Care co-ordinator team and is settling in very well, while still carrying out initial visits and supervisions.

Qualifications: Manual Handling Trainer, NVQ level 2 & 3 in care
